David Marshall of TM Terrain has now completed the transition of Gettysburg’s Little Round Top into a piece of terrain typical of the colonial era in the 19th century. As you can see from the photographs, it’s a real transformation! This will be one of the games you can take part in at Salute 2016, run for us by the stalwart heroes of the Sons of Simon De Montfort wargames club.

If you can imagine a plucky steam train carrying a local prince and various luminaries trying to escape murderous tribesmen and guarded by Bengal Lancers, Corps Of Guides infantry and a tired old Gatling gun, then you are part of the way there. This terrain will not only be on display and used for participation games at Salute but will also be for sale on the day, so you could play the game and then buy part of it to take home!
