Here’s something which we don’t see enough these days. John Vincent is the owner and artist of Quality Miniatures and has been involved in the building, painting and refurbishing of miniatures things in our hobby for over thirty-five years. All of these services are available through his website. John will paint your armies and produce excellent, one-of models to fit your particular wargaming taste. He carries two well-known, established building ranges, the popular 4Ground models and the venerable Hudson and Allen collection. Hudson and Allen’s superb soft, lightweight resin creations have been around for decades now. The company used to advertise extensively in Wargames Illustrated and are often seen lurking on gaming tables and back shelves in contemporary photos gracing our pages. The kits are well detailed and take paint well as the pictures show. John sells the Hudson and Allen models in both painted and unpainted versions, offering both at very fair prices. He’ll also customize or base both 4Ground kits or the Hudson and Allen buildings to further individualize the models.

Let’s not forget the entirely custom made creations. John’s kits are sturdy, well made, and always a joy to behold. Pass your gaze over the rest of the pictures provided and make you own decision. His miniature constructions are always the centerpiece of any gaming table they grace. A personal email is included as he loves to discuss your hobby needs on a personal level.

PROS: Hudson and Allen buildings are very light but extremely durable. I own several that are over twenty years old with nary a scratch or broken part. Regarding the custom built models, what can be bad about having any model that fits your personal requirements?

CONS: Ah, the shipping, the shipping costs nowadays. John’s models move easily to locations throughout North America, but size restrictions for mailing outside the United States can drive up the cost of your larger models.

SCOPE: As we find with all building models, the intended time frame is far exceeded by our gaming needs. Some can be used in many periods throughout history and included in fantasy settings as well.
