One of the articles that forms part of our ‘Great Reputations’ theme in WI342 (April) focuses upon the actions of the United States Marine Corps during World War One. This bunch of Devil Dogs were set loose on the German forces holding Bellau Wood and the surrounding area. Their sheer tenacity and grit saw them triumph in the face of some pretty long odds and create a legend that endures to this day.
All the figures you can see in the images are available from Great War Miniatures and come from the collection of Stuart Parkin.
