England is now in National Lockdown, so we wanted to give you an update on what’s ahead from us. For the duration of the Lockdown Wargames Illustrated magazine will continue to be published in both print and PDF formats. There will be no halt in the production of the magazine.
Online and brick and mortar stores
Our online shop will continue to operate; orders will be fulfilled as swiftly as usual for the magazine, Giants in Miniature, and any other goodies you might be after.
WH Smith High Street stores will remain open (some ‘Travel’ stores are closing) and the November and December magazines will be on sale there as usual.
Wargames Illustrated magazine is also on sale at several Sainsbury’s supermarkets, which will be open.
If you usually pick-up your copy of Wargames Illustrated from a UK hobby shop, this will probably be closed, but please check if they have an online store you can order from. It’s more important than ever that we support the independents in our hobby. For post-free orders worldwide, we recommend Arcane Scenery and Models.
Our weekly Primetime News Bulletin will not be produced during lockdown. Several of our staff members will be on furlough so we unfortunately will not be able to keep producing the weekly posts that make up Primetime. It will return as soon as the English National Lockdown ends.
Facing the challenges
The loss in sales we expect to see during lockdown means that we have had to make some difficult business decisions in order to minimise loss. I hope our Prime members will appreciate this and stick with us. All other Prime benefits will be maintained, including access to The Vault and new PDF versions of the magazine. We fully intend to come back better than ever, with an improved Prime service, once we are back out of Lockdown.
Wi396 will be released as usual, in the Vault on 20 November 2020.
All print subscriptions will be fulfilled as usual and our customer service department is open and available

Thank you for bearing with us during what is a difficult time for all small businesses, stay as safe as you can, get some hobby in, and we’ll see you on the other side of the gaming table soon.
