A relatively new company on the market, Gladius Game Arts produce 25mm to 80mm round, lipped and plain edged bases for a number of gaming genres.
The bases received for review were 30mm Space Dock (Lipped), 25mm Broken Highway, 25mm and 60mm Desolate Keep and 25mm Space Dock.
The Space Dock bases are lattice work and steel flooring, with nice, deep details that evokes starship decks or similar. Very useful for sci-fi gaming.
The 25mm Broken Highway is perfect for a touch of the post apocalyptic ‘Road Warrior’ or similar, again with the type of deep detail that works well with a wash of paint.
The 25mm and 60mm Desolate Keep bases are typical fantasy fare with mis-matched cobbles, areas of wooden planking and more.

Every base produced by this company is of a consistently high standard and extremely evocative of the named genre. The fact that they are available in a number of sizes and formats allows you to produce the effect you want and theme your miniatures across a number of different sizes. For example, my sci-fi characters go on lipped bases, whilst the ‘cannon fodder’ types are on plain edged bases. Other ranges of bases include Urban Decay, Forgotten City and more, all really useful for skirmish gamers.
