Games of War produces high quality resin ships, buildings and various accessories for their range of 1700’s ‘pirate’ and nautically themed products.
Our focus is upon ‘Sea Dog II’ – see above -although ‘GoW’ also produce a longboat and jolly boat, and a cutter, sloop and two versions of the ‘Sea Dog’, with the mast and boom assemblies being distinct from one another. Each of the ships is manufactured to have a great deal of detail and is produced using a very durable, high quality resin. In addition to the hulls, they come with bowsprits, masts, top gallant masts where appropriate, main and driver booms and a basic rigging set up.
Each ship is designed to carry cannons or swivel guns, plus a number of other accessories to detail them, such as ships’ wheels, anchors, lanterns and more. All of these are also produced by the company in a mixture of metal and wood.
All of these resin miniature ships are well rendered and the standard of sculpting and casting is consistently high. The resin seems like it would take paint very well, and the metal and wooden enhancements are very useful. An excellent series of product with plenty of room for customization.
