Sent in for review were two different vehicles in two different scales. We have an M3 Stuart Light Tank from World War Two and an M2 Bradley IFV. The two scales we have are 1:100 or 15mm and 1:56 or 28mm.
Each item is available in the following scales: 6 mm = 1:285 scale, 12 mm = 1:144 scale, 15 mm = 1:100 scale, 20 mm = 1:76 scale or 1:72 scale (there is an option to increase the size from 1:76 to 1:72), 28 mm = 1:56 scale and lastly 1/48 scale = 1:48 scale.
Compared to other services, which usually work in resin, everything is 3D printed to order. Consequently, they are much lighter than resin items, being hollow. As 3D prints, there is evidence of print lines and the print supports used to produce them, but the overall appearance is of a good wargaming standard and the removal and clean up of the miniatures appears relatively rapid.
The main assembly required is usually simply the turret or gun, where appropriate. These are provided as separate pieces. All the models are sold unpainted, unbased and without crew/figures.
This service shows how far the world of 3D printing has come, and will be one stage in the process of producing similar products in the future. As a concept, the idea is sound, and the company has some worthwhile products.
