We have five figures here, currently in resin as ‘masters’ for what will become metal characters to supplement the upcoming plastic Barbarians boxed set. These are wild warriors from the Northern lands, clad in furs and warm clothing to cope with the ever-encroaching Winter.
We have a figure in a seemingly berserk state, moving forward with a large axe held ready for a mighty attack,
And then a more relaxed pose of a similarly bearded warrior casually leaning on a warhammer,
Then we have some slightly different images of the barbarian lifestyle, including a young looking figure without a beard and wielding a small drum or tambourine like instrument, although an axe hangs from his belt.
The next figure is that rarity, a female barbarian in sensible clothing, ready for battle with a quarterstaff but with a much-used bow slung across her back.
Finally, we have a barbarian adventurer, carrying not only a serious looking backpack but covered in pouches, potion bottles and a number of weapons. He also carries a small treasure chest on his shoulder, perhaps the loot from his latest mission to the Frozen City.
These are classic looking barbarians, clad in pieces of chainmail, furs, cloaks and roughhewn clothing. They are full of character and really epitomise the wild Northern tribesmen from the wintery wasteland which surrounds Frostgrave.
