Cold War Miniatures have added another new range to those they have available. The latest offering is a number of ‘retro futuristic’ bikers, suitable for a range of backgrounds.
Received for review are four different miniatures, two mounted bikers and their bikes, plus two dismounted bikers with guns.
The first figure is Female Biker on Bike 1. The bike’s themselves are excellent, with a really nice ‘pulp sci-fi’ look which also embraces the world of anime, comic books and more. The female rider is hunched over the handlebars, focused on the road ahead and wearing a suitably retro bike suit.

The second figure is Male Biker on Bike 2. Again, the bike is great, and the rider is a little more active. He steers the bike with one hand, whilst firing a pulp style laser gun or similar with the other.

The dismounted figures are next, with Female Biker on Foot 2 and Male Biker on Foot 1. Both of these figures have their visors raised, with their faces partially obscured by the front of the helmet. Both wield a retro laser gun, the female with hers held to one size of her helmet, the male with his pointing towards the ground. Both wear the padded biker suit of the riders, and are very well posed.

The overall look of these Neo Futura bikers is excellent, showing the best of the possibilities provided by 3D sculpting. They are cast in a durable resin and are simple to put together. There are other options in the range, including a sidecar and equally characterful biker models on foot. The company also has a range of resin cast pulp-style figures in their Princes of the Universe range, plus a range of zombies and survivors in metal in the Dead Will Walk. All are well worth a browse and have something special to offer.
