Wargames Atlantic have moved into the fantasy market with the release of these multi-part hard plastic halflings in 28mm.
The box contains 8 of the same frame, enough parts to create 40 figures with a distinctly pseudo-Medieval look. Each frame contains the option to outfit your militia with either slings, bows, halberds or pike. In addition, there is the option to create a command ‘stand’, with a standard bearer, leader and musician.
As the box claims, these are ‘Classic Fantasy’ Halflings. They owe more to the world of ‘rank and file’ gaming than to the Lord of the Rings, with a more military look than comedic. In this regard, they are a welcome addition to the options for fantasy gamers.
