Michael Lovejoy of Oathsworn Miniatures has been sculpting anthropomorphic animal characters for quite some time, running a number of successful Kickstarters under the Burrows and Badgers label. He has continued to add to the available range, especially in light of the imminent release of the Burrows and Badgers skirmish game.
The miniatures are scaled to one another, so here we have a Raven Mage, a Dormouse Scout and a Shrew Knight Errant on his dung beetle steed.
Each one is expertly sculpted by this highly skilled sculptor and is packed full of character. The feathers on the Mage are outstanding, but the look of wisdom and mystery conveyed by the face is fantastic. The aggression and determination on the face of the Knight is very well done and I’ve never seen a tough looking Dormouse until now!
Overall, this is an excellent range which is designed for use in any fantasy skirmish game but is perfect for the Burrows and Badgers rules coming soon from Osprey Games.
