North Star Military Figures and Osprey Publishing continue to collaborate on producing multi-part plastic miniatures for the upcoming Oathmark Fantasy Battle rules. This time, it’s the turn of humanity in the form of this first release, Human Infantry.
There are enough parts to create 30 figures in total, with a host of different head and weapon options, from full face helms and bald headed to hand axes and spears. There are also rectangular shields with pronounced shield bosses, standards and command options. Each torso has a certain amount of basic armour, more studded and individual metal plates backed by leather, rather than full plate and chainmail.
Like all the plastic figures in this range, it is possible to create some unique figures, and the Oathmark range can be mixed with the Frostgrave and Ghost Archipelago plastics to really produce something special.

All the parts fit together very well, and will genuinely fit on any of the bodies in a number of poses without looking poorly thought out.

These are hopefully part of a wider commitment to producing top quality, ‘proper’ fantasy human plastic figures. I hope to see cavalry in a similar vein at some point, and some more unique fantasy races.
