Warlord Games strive to provide a multitude of options throughout their rules and miniature ranges. To that end, they have become masters of using existing models to create new types of units and warriors.
One of the most recent examples of this is the Napoleonic Polish Line Light Horse Lancers. Using the plastic French Line Lancer frame, they have re-packaged six of the same into a new box and added a number of metal heads in the czapska, the traditional Polish headgear. The box also includes a metal command model and horse, plus a trumpeter arm to place on one of the plastics.
The beauty of this system is that it allows Warlord to provide far more in the way of unit options and cuts down on their costs to produce brand new miniatures. That cost reduction may then be passed on to the gamer, keeping costs down when assembling an army.
These figures would be suitable for Napoleon’s Russian Campaign or obviously any parts of the Napoleonic Wars that involved Polish troops. Being ‘easy build’, they are a great way for those with any level of model making skill to put units together.
