Victoria Miniatures have a range of resin multi-part and complete miniatures that also provide a wealth of different parts for conversion purposes.
The core of the range is firmly sci-fi but many of the different parts could equally be used for Near Future figures. Designed initially to compliment and enhance the offerings from other companies, there are now some far superior versions of both male and female soldiers available for use in a far-flung future.
These are really excellent figures, with multi-part poseability and an opportunity to add missing elements or more unique aspects to mass marketed miniatures. To me, these are bespoke ‘boutique’ figures that are made available for those who need something special or simply want to reflect a less ‘male-centric’ environment.
The different ‘regiments’ which are available are themed around particular interpretations of future warriors but often with a retro feel. Looking for VSF soldiers to further the needs of the British Space Empire? Look no further. After some realistic looking female soldiers that could grace any tabletop rather than causing embarrassment or offence? Try the Arcadian range.
There are also additional pieces available via the company, character miniatures to use as officers or heroes, musicians and colour parties, artillery and crews, plus vehicle parts and complete tanks that compliment the overall aesthetic.
Victoria Miniatures may be based in Australia but are easily available direct from the source. The turnaround time for orders puts much larger companies to shame. If they had a European distributor, I’d be even happier, but for now I’m looking forward to creating a force of troops ready to defend the galaxy with their own style.
