Anvil Industry have yet more new products to showcase. This time its Daughters of the Burning Rose, an entire new army of gothic medieval and science fiction warrior women, funded through a successful Kickstarter.

These figures are in a similar vein to the other releases from Anvil. They are multi-part resin miniatures that can be assembled in a number of ways. Legs, torsos, heads, arms, weaponry and backpacks can all be chosen to create a unique miniature.
The figures themselves are of sensibly proportioned, fully armoured troops, commanders and support elements. These are soldiers that happen to be female rather than the caricatured renditions of adolescent male fantasy. All wear closed helmets with a distinctly medieval Sallet-style and the chest, shoulder and leg armour conveys the sense of a knight in armour.

The Daughters of the Burning Rose is a new force of gothic medieval themed warriors, suitable for use in a range of different wargaming settings and game systems. There are both fantasy and science fiction weapons that can be used, making these figures useful for more than one type of gamer. A little work and some small magnets could even allow for weapons to be swapped, enabling the same figures to do double duty for different genres.
The command and support figures aren’t always multi-part, such as this nurse figure here. However, whether multi- or one-piece, the level of sculpting and the casting process used really allows the high quality of the figures to shine through.

Always seeking to stretch the bounds of what is possible when producing figures in resin, Anvil Industry take great pains to ensure the highest quality miniatures for gamers and collectors. These new figures should be hitting retail very soon, so why not take a look at their website and see these and the other ranges they have on offer?
