1st Corps officially released their new English Civil War range at this year’s Salute. Since then, amongst all their other releases for their hundreds of other ranges, they have continued to add more ECW packs. Some of the latest include these Parliamentarian cavalry, in ‘lobster pot’ helmets.
These are pleasingly ‘chunky’ miniatures, with a number of poses. The two shown here very active, at the charge, with a nice sense of motion in the horses. In buff coat armour and metal helmets, the riders epitomise the ‘style’ of many of the Parliamentary cavalrymen, especially after the creation of the New Model Army.
Each miniature is cast in top quality alloy. The riders and horses come in packs of three, with the option of walking or galloping horses and sword or pistol armed riders. There are eight packs in total, all of the same well sculpted standard.
