Having published the Burrows and Badgers rules via Osprey Games, Oathsworn Miniatures have continued to add yet more miniatures to their range of anthropomorphic animal characters. With most figures available in metal or resin, they have an excellent level of detail and represent a quirky option for any gamer interested in fantasy.
The level of detail on all this range is excellent, making these some of the most characterful miniatures on the market. A nice touch is that the figures are ‘in scale’ with one another, so a badger warrior is far larger than a mouse, etc. The whole range covers mammals to avians, with most of the woodland creatures of the UK covered.
The level of detail is perhaps best exemplified by the Beaver Warrior in resin (above left) – the metal miniatures are great, but the resin one shown here is exceptional.
The quality of sculpting shown on these quirky miniatures is a testament to the efforts made by sculptor Michael Lovejoy. Although designed to work with the Burrows and Badgers rulebook, they would fit with so many other settings. Of course, I’m still hoping that we’ll see a more sci-fi or post apocalyptic range in the not too distant future, but that’s probably just me.
