Van Dyck Models & Figurines have added packs of miniatures for use in gaming the 1701 – 1714 War of the Spanish Succession. Although classified as 10mm, these 1:144 scale figures would also fit with some 12mm ranges.

The packs sent for review are Infantry Command Pack ‘A’ and Infantry, Ventral Ammunition Pouch. The command pack consists of 10 figures in various poses, complete with officers, sergeants, drummers and standard bearers. The infantry pack contains 30 figures depicted in marching poses, at the left shoulder shift.

The level of sculpting on all these figures is exceptional, with great attention to detail on weapons and uniform. The Van Dyck figures are revered by those who know of them for their incredible appearance, which makes them look as good ‘up close’ as individuals as they do in massed ranks on the tabletop.

We cannot recommend these figures highly enough – if you are looking for the best figures on the market in this scale for the WSS, this should be your first port of call .

Please Note: We should have done a better job of straightening the muskets prior to photography – they only take a little tweaking to look really neat!
