Warlord Games have added more miniatures for their new Western Desert range. This time, we have jeeps for use by the SAS and LRDG, as per the rules in the Campaign: The Western Desert supplement for Bolt Action.

The jeep we have for review is SAS Jeep ‘A’. This is a resin and metal miniature, with two-seated crew in metal. Other metal parts include the wheels and axles, plus metal weapons, in this case ‘K’ machine guns and mounts to place them side-by-side.

The main body of the jeep is provided in resin. This is an interesting piece, as it comes ‘pre-covered’ in all types of stowage, from jerry cans and ammunition boxes to canteens and tarpaulins. Simply assemble, undercoat and paint, and this would be a remarkably accurate version of the overladen jeeps used by the raiders when operating behind enemy lines.
With the new jeeps ‘A’ and ‘B’, plus the other vehicle choices for raiders from Warlord Games, it should be possible to field a fair few British and Commonwealth raiding forces for the Western Desert theatre.
