Warlord Games are continuing to add even greater variety to the vessels they have on offer for use with the Cruel Seas rules. One of their most recent is from the British Fairmile ‘family’, a Fairmile D MGB 660.

The Fairmile company produced a mass production vessel, which had good seagoing qualities and was used also for mine laying. Their most famous boat was probably the Fairmile D or ‘Dog’ boat, a dual Motor Torpedo Boat/Motor Gun Boat, possibly the best-armed vessel for its size in the world.
This resin and metal model serves to represent motor gun boat 660 in its final configuration, including an automatic 6pdr on the foredeck, a 20mm on either side of the bridge, a twin 20mm amidships and a quick firing 3pdr (effectively a 40mm) cannon on the stern. A nice touch is the inclusion of crew figures for the guns and bridge.
The Fairmile D MGB 660 comes in packs of two to boost your Royal Navy coastal forces. These are accurate scale replicas of the real vessels, like all those in the range, and help to add even more options to those creating fleet.
